The party arrived at this strange town from pathways that seemed to disappear as soon as they stepped foot on the sacred land beneath them. As they got their bearings, they were faced with a blight consuming their first night, enveloping the town in shadows that were only repelled by the light of the Beginning. A strange thought fell upon them the next day, when they realized that no more than 6 people inhabited the town, with many seeming to appear and disappear at a moment’s notice. As they rushed to escape the uncanny sight, the tendrils of shadow chased them to the Waypoint, where they witnessed Anthro’s apparent untimely demise. The fate and true location of Lubellum may very well be forever left unknown…

The Room and Circle

The Room and Circle

Despite not being the central building of Lubellum, The Room and Circle certainly emanates the most presence. A relatively simple exterior, there are 2 points of entryway, one of which directs visitors to the Room (the Inn) and the other which directs visitors towards The Circle (the bar). Rather than individual rooms, these are simply areas, unseparated by a wall. A third door opened when Zephyr approached, for The Pawn, reveling the central open space dividing the two areas.

Carter acts as both the innkeeper and bartender of the Room and Circle, running between the two tills when a guest prompts him on either side. Anthro was additionally seen habituating the bar side of the building, sitting alone until crowds apparated around him, creating a bustling environment far exceeding Lubellum’s typical population count.

A secret trapdoor was found hidden beneath a pile of boxes in the inn. When opened, an entryway to The Workshop was revealed below.

Lubellum Boathouse

Adjacent to the docks where The Luna arrived from the sea beyond, the boathouse used to be a core part of Lubellum’s identity. Remnants of its former majesty can be found through the pictures on the wall, and the empty space surrounding the building containing the faded markings of a towering structure that once stood by it. Now, all that stands is a small, seemingly uninhabited residence with a faint light emanating from the stunted beacon above it.

After the first night in Lubellum, a return trip to the boathouse revealed a drastically shifted landscape. Perhaps the most torn place in the town, the boathouse exhibited a monochromatic gradient, bleached into a black and white pallor that stripped any remaining character from the already dilapidated shack. The damage that The Shadows caused appears to be irreversible, permanently marking the boathouse, and the rest of Lubellum, with the chaos of the night. One can only hope that it does not spread any further…

Temple of the Forgotten God

Temple of the Forgotten God

A half-finished — or perhaps half-destroyed — temple sits atop the east cliff of Lubellum, presumably looking towards the sunrise, if such a thing even were to occur in this realm. The scaffolding of an impressive cathedral adorns the temple, with stained glass windows depicting histories of the gods before, and the gods before those as well. The gaps in the ceiling created an atmosphere open to the elements, with a beam of moonlight illuminating a stone altar towards the back of the temple.

The Informant claims that this temple was once dedicated to him, implying that he is the Forgotten God from long ago. There is some truth in those words: the temple was clearly once a fount of vitality for Lubellum, now reduced to a memory soon to be forgotten along with its god. But what is a god? Who else might find Origins in Lubellum?

“Praise to the Keeper, may he be forgotten so that he might be remembered”
